Rivian (RIVN) reported a total of 8,640 vehicle deliveries in Q1 2025, a decline from 13,588 units in Q1 2024. This decrease was largely due to high deliveries of Electric Delivery Vans in Q4 2024, which reduced the first quarter’s volume. The company produced 14,611 vehicles during the same period, up from 13,980 in the previous year, as it aims to compensate for a projected production halt later this year.
Rivian has lowered its delivery guidance for 2025 to 40,000-46,000 vehicles from an earlier range of 46,000-51,000, attributed to challenges such as market demand uncertainties and macroeconomic conditions. The average selling price of Rivian vehicles stood at $88,500 in Q1, further limiting its market reach amidst current economic pressures.
In contrast, Tesla (TSLA) delivered 336,681 vehicles but saw a drop from 386,810 a year prior due to production pauses, while Lucid (LCID) reported a 58.1% increase in deliveries with 3,109 vehicles in Q1 2025.
