Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Investment Management, invested nearly $40 million in shares of Nvidia, Tesla, and Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) on July 28, following price drops in these companies. Nvidia reported Q1 revenue of $81.6 billion for fiscal year 2027, marking an 85% year-over-year increase, and anticipates $91 billion in revenue for Q2. Tesla’s Q2 revenue increased by 26% to $28.2 billion, but its adjusted earnings per share dropped 18% to $0.33.
SpaceX saw a 92% revenue increase year-over-year to $7.8 billion in Q2, though it reported a net loss of $541 million. Despite its promising growth, SpaceX’s current valuation of $1.8 trillion is questioned due to uncertainties surrounding its long-term profitability. While both Nvidia and Tesla present some investment potential, risks remain, particularly with Tesla’s future in the robotaxi market.
