USDA Wholesale Boxed Beef prices decreased, with Choice boxes down 59 cents to $380.80 and Select boxes down $2.19 to $359.90. Estimated federally inspected cattle slaughter for Tuesday was 121,000 head, totaling 231,000 head for the week, which was 14,607 head lower than the same week in 2024.
On September 25, October Live Cattle closed at $235.600, down $1.550, and Dec 25 closed at $238.750, down $1.475. In comparison, September Feeder Cattle closed at $364.850, up $2.125.
