Cboe Global Markets Expands Trading Hours for Mega-Cap Stocks
Cboe Global Markets (NYSEMKT: CBOE) will launch new extended trading hours for select multi-exchange mega-cap stock options starting Monday, allowing options trading to commence at 7:30 a.m. ET and continue until 4:15 p.m. ET, two hours earlier and 15 minutes later than the main markets respectively.
The extended hours will include approximately 20 mega-cap stocks, featuring the “Magnificent Seven”: Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla, along with others like Broadcom and Palantir. This initiative is expected to enhance trading volume and boost revenue for Cboe, which reported a 29% year-over-year revenue increase and 54% higher earnings in Q1.
