The Digital Engineering Awards symbolize “the transformative potential of digital engineering,” according to the hosts. This year, more than 230 nominations were received, highlighting the rising importance of digital engineering across industries. Submissions came from innovators in crucial sectors such as automotive, industrial manufacturing, energy, aerospace, medtech, and telecommunications. With a focus on AI and Gen AI, the awards introduced two new categories to spotlight projects shaping the future.

Winners were recognized in two segments — ‘Engineering the Change’ and ‘Engineer at Heart’ — reflecting outstanding accomplishments at both enterprise and individual levels. Awards were distributed among eleven categories that emphasized excellence in sustainability, digital products, and the use of leading technologies.

A panel of global experts evaluated the submissions rigorously. Judges included Prof. Jim Austin from Wharton Business School and Brown University; Prof. (Dr.) Marcos Kauffman of Coventry University; Neelu Sethi of Brinks Inc.; Vanessa Eriksson from GiTN; and members from ISG including Steve Hall, Prashant Kelker, and Gaurav Gupta. The criteria for judgement included innovation, precision in delivery, tangible business impact, and sustainable value creation.

Michael P. Connors, Chairman and CEO of ISG stated, “Digital engineering continues to redefine nearly every part of modern life — from clean energy solutions to innovations in healthcare. This year’s awards highlight exceptional engineering advancements that are making a global impact. The significant increase in nominations reflects the anchoring role of digital engineering in various industries and infrastructures, as well as the importance of this unique recognition program.”

S. Shivakumar, CEO of News18 Studios noted, “We are excited to support a platform that honors the talented individuals shaping the future of digital engineering. The stories highlighted here inspire industries to innovate and create impactful solutions. This partnership resonates with our commitment to provide insights into groundbreaking developments and the innovators leading industry change.”

Amit Chadha, CEO & Managing Director of L&T Technology Services, remarked, “This year’s entries showed incredible innovation and diversity within the engineering field. It’s heartening to see more women at the forefront of technological advances, addressing current challenges and fostering a better future. We remain committed to recognizing the remarkable organizations and individual engineers dedicated to advancing purposeful and agile innovation.”

The awards featured strong representation from North American companies, which submitted over 150 entries. Both Europe and Asia-Pacific also exhibited significant progress in utilizing digital engineering to achieve enhanced efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence.
