March arabica coffee prices are down by $4.05 (-1.12%), while March ICE robusta coffee is down by $19 (-0.48%) as of today. The decline is attributed to the Brazilian real hitting a one-week low against the dollar, which is expected to promote coffee exports from Brazil.
Vietnam’s coffee exports are also increasing, with a reported 17.5% year-on-year rise to 1.58 million metric tons projected for 2025. In addition, Brazil’s crop forecasting agency, Conab, revised its total coffee production estimate for 2025 up by 2.4% to 56.54 million bags. Conversely, signs of tighter global coffee supplies are emerging, as global coffee exports fell by 0.3% year-on-year to 138.658 million bags, according to the International Coffee Organization.
