American Resources Corporation (AREC) announced a rare-earth elements processing partnership with ERI, starting in October 2023. The collaboration aims to establish a U.S.-based supply chain for rare-earth elements by leveraging ERI’s electronics-recycling network to collect and pre-process magnet-bearing materials.
ReElement Technologies, a portfolio company of AREC, will refine these materials into high-purity rare-earth oxides, with trial shipments of 99.99%+ purity already underway. The production is ongoing at its Noblesville, IN, facility and is set to scale further with a 400,000-square-foot processing complex in Marion, IN, expected to begin operations in early 2026.
AREC shares have surged by 133.6% over the past year, significantly outpacing the industry average increase of 14.8%.
