DoorDash (DASH) and Amazon (AMZN) are competing in the on-demand delivery and e-commerce sectors, focusing on food and grocery markets. The global same-day delivery market is projected to grow from $32.44 billion in 2025 to $54.80 billion by 2030, representing a CAGR of 11.45%, highlighting the growth potential for both companies.

As of Q2 2025, DoorDash achieved a 20% year-over-year order increase, totaling 761 million orders and a 23% rise in Marketplace Gross Order Value (GOV) to $24.2 billion. Meanwhile, Amazon set a record for Prime deliveries, recording a 30% increase in same-day or next-day deliveries compared to the previous year and expanding its grocery delivery service to over 1,000 cities. 

DoorDash stocks have risen 46.5% year-to-date, while Amazon has seen a 4.5% increase. Earnings estimates for DoorDash are projected at $2.39 per share for 2025, up 10.6%, compared to Amazon’s $6.73 per share with a 21.70% increase.
