Consumer Products and Services Struggle as Monday Sector Laggards

As of midday Monday, the Consumer Products sector is the worst performer, down 0.6%. Notable declines within this group include Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), which has lost 4.0%, and Church & Dwight Co. Inc (CHD), which has dropped 3.7%. The iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF (IYK), which includes ADM and CHD as part of its 2.4% combined holdings, is down 0.9% for the day but up 5.16% year-to-date.

Similarly, the Services sector is also down 0.6%, led by Kenvue Inc (KVUE) with a loss of 6.5% and Lennar Corp (LEN) down 4.2%. The iShares U.S. Consumer Services ETF (IYC) mirrors this trend, down 0.2% in midday trading, yet up 10.10% year-to-date. Year-to-date performance figures show Kenvue down 16.80% and Lennar down 6.45%.
