Corn futures closed on Thursday, September 21, 2023, with contracts up by 2 to 3 cents ahead of the USDA reports. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price increased by 2 3/4 cents to $3.75. There were 154 deliveries against September corn futures reported overnight.
Export Sales data revealed a total of 539,900 metric tons (MT) of corn sold in the week ending September 4. Mexico was the largest buyer at 256,500 MT, followed by Japan with 143,700 MT. Additionally, 1.17 million MT were carried over from the 2024/25 marketing year, contributing to total 2025/26 corn sales reaching 22.601 million MT—the second largest on record.
