**Corn Futures Overview:**

On Thursday, corn futures are experiencing losses of 2 to 3.5 cents amid month-end pressure and weakness in wheat, with the May futures price at $4.64 1/4, down 2 1/4 cents. The USDA reported 1.598 million metric tons (MMT) of old crop corn sales for the week ending April 23, surpassing analysts’ estimates of 1-1.9 MMT, marking the highest sales since late February. However, new crop business reported zero sales, the first absence in 13 weeks.

Currently, the CmdtyView national average cash corn price is at $4.31, which is down 3 cents. Over the next five days, significant rainfall of 1 to 1.5 inches is anticipated across much of Missouri and the Eastern Corn Belt, facilitating crop planting efforts.
