Corn futures are experiencing a decline, with contracts dropping 5 to 6 cents as of midday Wednesday. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price has fallen 5 cents to $4.07 1/2 per bushel.
This morning, the USDA announced a private export sale of 120,000 metric tons of corn to Mexico, comprising 30,000 MT for the 2026/27 season and 90,000 MT for 2027/28. Meanwhile, a weekly EIA report showed ethanol production at 1.107 million barrels per day for the week ending July 31, a decrease of 26,000 bpd from the previous week.
StoneX has projected the U.S. corn yield at 184.8 bushels per acre, forecasting total production at 16.16 billion bushels.
