Corn Prices Decline Early Wednesday

Corn prices are trading down slightly by 2 cents on Wednesday morning after posting gains of 1 to 2¼ cents on Tuesday. The national average Cash Corn price increased by 1¾ cents to $3.70¼. Export shipments for the week ending October 9 reached 1.129 million metric tons (MMT), marking a 119.74% increase compared to the same week last year, though down 33.61% from the previous week.

Key destinations for U.S. corn exports included Mexico, which received 299,156 MT, Colombia (202,680 MT), and South Korea (140,416 MT). Since September 1, marketing year exports for 2025/26 total 7.94 MMT, a 64.97% increase year-over-year. Additionally, Taiwan has purchased 65,000 MT of corn, and South Korean importers acquired 199,000 MT in tenders, although no specific origins were provided.

In Brazil, CONAB raised its estimate for the 2025/26 corn crop to 138.6 MMT, while ANEC projects October corn exports at 6.46 MMT, a slight increase from the prior week’s estimate.
