Corn futures are trading lower on Friday, with contracts down by as much as 2 cents. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price is reported at $4.19 3/4, a decrease of 1 1/4 cents.
As of April 16, corn export commitments total 74.1 million metric tons (MMT), marking a 28% increase from the previous year and representing 88% of the USDA’s export projection. A South Korean importer has secured 67,000 MT of corn in a private deal, following a purchase of 134,000 MT by another importer on Thursday.
