Corn futures experienced losses, with December corn down 3 cents at $4.33 3/4 on Monday. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price decreased by 1 3/4 cents to $3.98 1/2. Export inspections data for the week ending December 4 showed corn shipments at 1.453 million metric tons (MT), a 10.89% drop from the previous week but a 36% increase from the same week last year.

Mexico was the top destination for corn, with 520,691 MT shipped, followed by Japan at 310,828 MT and Taiwan at 81,209 MT. Marketing year shipments have totaled 20.63 million MT (812.2 million bushels), marking a 69.36% year-over-year increase. The USDA’s export sales report indicated that only 979,525 MT of corn was sold in the week ending November 6, falling short of traders’ expectations for 1-2 million MT and setting a marketing year low.

Brazil’s AgRural estimates the country’s corn crop for 2025/26 at 135.3 million MT, a reduction of 5.8 million MT from the prior year. Analysts expect Tuesday’s monthly WASDE report to show U.S. corn ending stocks at 2.145 billion bushels, a decrease of 9 million bushels from November.
