Corn prices fell by 3 to 5 cents at midday on Tuesday, with the CmdtyView national average cash corn price registering at $4.09 1/4, a decrease of 5 cents. This drop comes as crude oil prices increased by $2.48 ahead of President Trump’s deadline for Iran. Analysts are also anticipating a slight increase in the U.S. corn carryout projection to 2.13 billion bushels (bbu) in the upcoming WASDE update.

The inaugural Crop Progress report for 2026 indicated that the U.S. corn crop is 3% planted, slightly ahead of the 2% average over the last five years, with all reporting states surpassing normal planting rates.
