Corn futures fell by 2 to 3 cents on Monday, with December corn now priced at $4.33 per bushel, down 2.5 cents. On Friday night, 64 deliveries were issued against December corn, while the CmdtyView national average cash corn price is at $3.99 ¼, down 11.75 cents.
For the week ending November 27, Export Inspections reported a total of 1.421 MMT (55.95 million bushels) of corn shipped, a 49.79% increase compared to the same week last year, but a 16.18% decrease from the previous week. Japan was the top buyer, importing 431,700 MT, while total shipments for the marketing year stand at 18.97 MMT (746.7 million bushels), 70.69% higher than last year.
USDA also released Export Sales data for the week ending October 23, showing sales at 1.8 MMT, 36% lower than the prior week and in line with estimates. Accumulated sales are now 37% above last year, totaling 35.37 MMT.
