Corn Prices Rise in Friday Morning Trading

On Friday morning, corn prices are showing gains of 1 to 2 cents, recovering slightly after a decline of up to 2 cents in Thursday’s futures session. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price is currently at $3.82 1/2, down 1 ½ cents. USDA reported private export sales of 500,302 MT of corn, including 260,000 MT sold to Japan.

For the week ending January 8, USDA export sales data indicated a total of 1.14 MMT of corn sold for the 2025/26 season, more than tripling the previous week’s sales. Mexico was the largest buyer with 265,800 MT, followed by Japan with 210,800 MT and Taiwan with 133,400 MT.

Markets will be closed on Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, reopening on Monday evening.
