Corn futures are seeing an increase on Thursday, with December contracts rising by 5 to 6 ¼ cents at midday after holding above the $4 mark on Wednesday. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price stands at $3.68 1/4, up 5 3/4 cents.

The USDA reported private export sales of 106,680 MT of corn to Mexico and 105,000 MT to Guatemala, both set for the 2025/26 shipping period. Additionally, export sales data revealed 170,428 MT in old crop corn sales for the week of July 31, falling below estimates of 200,000 to 400,000 MT, while new crop sales significantly exceeded expectations at 3.16 MMT, bringing total sales for 2025/26 to 11.777 MMT.

In July, Brazil exported 2.434 MMT of corn, a 31.51% decline from last year, attributed to a slower second crop harvest and ongoing soybean exports occupying shipping capacity.
