Corn Prices Surge on Thursday

Corn futures increased by 4 to 4.5 cents on Thursday, with the March 26 contract closing at $4.44. The national average cash corn price rose by 4 cents to $4.00 ¾ as bulls reacted positively after earlier market pressures.

For the week of November 27, export sales of corn reached 1.792 million metric tons, aligning with trade estimates and marking a 3.5% increase compared to the same week last year. Total commitments for corn export sales are currently at a record pace of 44.35 million metric tons, or 1.746 billion bushels, up 29.7% from the previous year.
