Corn Rebounds From Session Lows Ahead of Wednesday’s Closing Bell

Corn futures experienced mild losses on Wednesday, with prices declining by 1.5 to 2.25 cents. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price decreased by 1.5 cents to $4.89 per bushel.

The weekly EIA report, covering the week of September 4, indicated ethanol production remained steady at 1.099 million barrels per day, a 4.17% increase from the same period last year. Ethanol stocks rose by 33,000 barrels to 25.22 million barrels, marking an 11.58% increase year-over-year. Refiner inputs were up by 3,000 barrels per day to 911,000 barrels, while exports grew by 14,000 barrels per day to 161,000 barrels.

Stats Canada released its initial corn production data, reporting an output of 16.55 million metric tons, an 11.3% rise from the previous year. Export sales data for 2026/27 corn sales is anticipated to be released on Thursday, with market expectations ranging from 0.7 to 2 million metric tons for the week ending September 10.
