Corn prices are experiencing a rally, with contracts rising by 9 to 10 cents on September 26. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price has increased to $4.28, up 9 3/4 cents. This upward momentum is partially driven by a wheat-led rally due to rising tensions in the Black Sea.
Export Sales data shows that old crop corn sales reached 87.503 million metric tons (MMT), exceeding 104% of the USDA forecast. Accumulated shipments stand at 80.066 MMT, or 95% of the USDA export projection. However, new crop corn sales are down 23.5% from last year, totaling 10.575 MMT.
Current prices include: September corn at $4.57 (up 9 cents), December corn at $4.81 1/4 (up 9 1/4 cents), March 2027 corn at $4.97 1/4 (up 9 1/2 cents), and New Crop Cash at $4.32 1/2 (up 9 1/2 cents).
