Corn futures have risen by 5 to 6 cents on Tuesday, with theCmdtyView national average cash corn price increasing to $4.23 3/4. May 26 corn is currently priced at $4.65 1/2, while July 26 and December 26 corn are seeing gains of 5 cents, priced at $4.75 1/2 and $4.91 1/2, respectively.
In related news, Ukraine’s corn production is projected to reach 31-32 million metric tons (MMT) for the current year, slightly up from last year’s estimate of 31 MMT. EIA data regarding ethanol production will be released Wednesday, with expectations for steady to slightly higher production in the week ending March 20.
