Cotton Experiences Decline in Wednesday Trading Session

Cotton futures experienced significant midweek losses on Wednesday, with July 26 Cotton closing at 72.09 cents, down 187 points; December 26 Cotton dropping 247 points to 76.26 cents; and March 27 Cotton falling 239 points to 77.67 cents. The Seam reported only 88 bales sold on June 23, averaging 72.15 cents per bale.

In related commodities, crude oil declined by $3.34 per barrel to $69.87, while the US dollar index rose by $0.147 to reach 101.320. Cotton’s Adjusted World Price decreased by 111 points last week, now at 62.37 cents per pound, with the next update scheduled for Thursday. Certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 189,447 bales as reported on Tuesday.
