Cotton Futures Surge Midday
At midday, the May and July cotton futures are surging, locked at a 4c limit gain. The surge continues with New crop futures also seeing an increase by 53 to 98 points.
Market Indices and Certifications
The Cotlook A Index experienced a drop of 80 points, settling at 100.70 cents on 2/26. In comparison, the AWP showed strength with a 168-point surge, reaching 75.12 cents. ICE certified stocks stood at 997 bales as of 2/21.
Cotton Prices on the Rise
Mar 24 Cotton saw a significant increase, reaching 99 and up by 242 points. Meanwhile, May 24 Cotton reached 98.8, marking a remarkable 400-point surge, with Jul 24 Cotton following closely at 97.68, also up by 400 points.
