On Wednesday, cotton futures declined by 2 to 5 points, while crude oil futures increased by 50 cents per barrel, reaching $61.65. The US dollar index fell by $0.049 to 98.860.
During the January 13 online auction from The Seam, cotton sold at 60.08 cents per pound for a total of 14,042 bales. The Cotlook A Index rose by 55 points, reaching 75 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 11,029 bales. The Adjusted World Price was updated to 50.97 cents per pound on Thursday, up 21 points from the previous week.
