Cotton futures experienced modest gains of 5 to 10 points across the front months on Monday. The December 26 online auction from The Seam recorded sales of 9,181 bales at an average price of 60.31 cents per pound, while ICE certified cotton stocks remained steady at 11,600 bales.
Crude oil futures rose by $1.35 per barrel, reaching $58.09, and the US dollar index increased by $0.152 to 97.850. The Adjusted World Price for cotton was updated to 50.02 cents per pound, a slight increase of 3 points from the previous week, with a loan deficiency payment (LDP) rate set at 1.98 cents per pound.
