Cotton futures increased by 55 to 75 points on Monday, with March contracts closing at 61.61 cents, May at 63.76 cents, and July at 65.45 cents. Crude oil futures rose by $0.87 to $64.41 per barrel, while the U.S. dollar index dropped by 0.771 to 96.735.
On February 6, the Seam reported sales of 3,066 bales of cotton, averaging 58.61 cents per pound, while ICE certified cotton stocks grew by 18,564 bales, reaching a total of 93,561 bales. The Cotlook A Index decreased by 40 points to 72.80 cents, and the Adjusted World Price fell by 42 points to 49.78 cents per pound last Thursday.
