Cotton Futures Dip Amid Mixed Commodity Market Movements
Cotton futures experienced slight losses today, ranging from 6 to 34 points as of midday Wednesday. Crude oil prices also declined, with a decrease of $0.19 per barrel. The US dollar index dropped by $0.051, settling at 100.775.
Latest Market Data
The online auction held on Monday by The Seam revealed sales of 1,415 bales, with an average price of 68.86 cents per pound. On Tuesday, the Cotlook A Index remained stable at 78.25. Additionally, ICE cotton stocks saw an increase of 5,860 bales as of May 13, bringing the certified stocks level to 33,100 bales. The USDA’s Adjusted World Price (AWP) decreased by 13 points last Thursday, now standing at 54.81 cents per pound.

- Oct 25 Cotton: 68.83, down 6 points
- Dec 25 Cotton: 68.58, down 19 points
