Crude oil futures dropped by 79 cents, and the US dollar index weakened to 96.940, down $0.177.
On July 21, the Cotlook A Index decreased by 80 points, settling at 78.65. The Seam reported sales of 1,093 bales at an average of 61.43 cents/lb. ICE cotton stocks remained steady on July 22 with certified stocks totaling 22,337 bales. The USDA’s Adjusted World Price (AWP) increased to 54.72 cents/lb and is effective through the following Thursday.
