Cotton Market Maintains Stability on Tuesday

Cotton futures experienced slight declines on Tuesday, with March 26 cotton closing at 64.88 (down 3 points), and May 26 down to 66.41. Crude oil prices rose by $1.60 per barrel to reach $61.10. The US dollar index saw an increase of 0.304 to 98.930.

On Monday, the online auction from The Seam reported sales at 60.09 cents per pound for a total of 21,284 bales. As of January 12, the Cotlook A Index held steady at 74.45 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks fell by 481 bales to 11,029 bales. The Adjusted World Price was revised to 50.97 cents per pound, marking an increase of 21 points from the prior week.
