Cotton Market Sees Positive Gains by Wednesday’s Close

Cotton futures increased 10 to 15 points on March 3, 2023, with Mar 26 closing at 62.16 cents, May 26 at 64.16 cents, and Jul 26 at 66.1 cents. The market was influenced by a slight uptick in crude oil, which rose by $1.54 to $76.10, while the US dollar index dropped by 0.231 to 98.775.

On the same day, The Seam reported sales of 6,789 bales averaging 62.49 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index fell 95 points to 74.95 cents, and the ICE certified cotton stocks remained steady at 129,302 bales. The Adjusted World Price increased by 1.79 cents to 51.84 cents per pound.
