Cotton futures experienced gains ranging from 42 to 91 points during Wednesday’s session, with Oct 26 closing at 79.87 cents, Dec 26 at 81.11 cents, and Mar 27 at 82.45 cents. The Cotlook A Index rose by 35 points on July 20, reaching 88.00 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks decreased by 3,565 bales on July 21, totaling 94,235 bales. Additionally, the Adjusted World Price increased by 3.52 cents to 65.37 cents per pound.
In the broader commodities market, crude oil prices rose by $2.14 per barrel. The US dollar index saw a decline of 0.061. The NOAA forecasts minimal precipitation in much of Texas and the Southeast over the next week.
