Cotton Prices Decline on Thursday

Cotton futures experienced midday losses on Thursday, with declines ranging from 27 to 36 points. The US dollar index rose by 91 points, contributing to market pressure, while crude oil futures decreased by 21 cents.

On November 13, The Seam reported 1,780 bales of online sales at an average price of 62.34 cents per pound. ICE cotton stocks increased by 11,050 bales to a total of 11,224 bales of certified stocks. The Cotlook A Index fell by 95 points to 81.30 cents per pound, and the USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) decreased by 58 points to 57.96 cents per pound, with an update expected later today.

As of now, March 25 Cotton is priced at 70.83 cents (down 27 points), May 25 Cotton at 72.04 cents (down 34 points), and July 25 Cotton at 73.21 cents (down 36 points).
