Cotton Prices Decline on Wednesday

On Wednesday, cotton futures fell by 21 to 88 points across various contracts, with July cotton closing at 64.84, October at 66.11, and December at 66.67. In contrast, crude oil rose by 25 cents to $75.09 per barrel, while the US dollar index decreased by $0.061 to 98.455.

The Seam reported a sale of 2,244 bales on Tuesday at an average price of 63.39 cents per pound. As of June 17, the Cotlook A Index increased by 60 points to 78.75, and certified ICE cotton stocks rose by 120 bales to reach 62,332 bales. The USDA’s Adjusted World Price climbed by 26 points to 54.02 cents per pound.
