Cotton Prices Dip on Monday

Cotton futures are experiencing losses between 10 to 20 points on Monday, while December contracts are up 14 points. Crude oil futures have risen by 72 cents to $59.27 per barrel, and the US dollar index stands at $99.225, down by $0.183.

The USDA’s Export Sales report indicated 132,760 RB of cotton sold for the week of October 23, a decrease of 24.43% from the previous week. However, shipments reached a marketing year high of 174,788 RB.

An online auction on November 28 sold 3,605 bales of cotton at an average price of 59.75 cents/lb, while ICE certified cotton stocks remained steady at 20,344 bales. The Adjusted World Price was updated to 50.77 cents/lb, down 3 points from the previous week.
