Cotton Prices Rebound on Wednesday Following Recent Contract Lows

Cotton futures saw a mid-day increase, with December contracts rising 15 to 25 points from new contract lows. As of October 7, the US dollar index stood at 98.725, up $0.441, while crude oil prices increased by 92 cents per barrel.

On October 7, The Seam reported the sale of 2,777 bales of cotton at an average price of 61.55 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index remained steady at 76.65 cents, and certified ICE cotton stocks held at 17,891 bales.

Current cotton prices are as follows: Oct 25 Cotton at 62.02 (down 68 points), Dec 25 Cotton at 64.7 (up 24 points), and Mar 26 Cotton at 66.55 (up 17 points).
