Cotton Prices Rise at the Start of Tuesday’s Market

Cotton futures experienced a slight decline in December contracts, closing at 62.46 cents per pound, down 3 points, while other contracts rose between 5 to 13 points. The Cotlook A Index fell to 74.70 cents on November 14. In an online auction on Thursday, 416 bales were sold at an average price of 63.51 cents per pound.

On the same day, ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 19,244 bales. The Adjusted World Price reported last week was 51.83 cents per pound, valid until Thursday. Crude oil futures declined by 37 cents to $59.72 per barrel, and the US dollar index increased by $0.251 to 99.450.
