On December 29, the Seam’s online auction recorded sales of 23,018 bales of cotton at an average price of 59.79 cents per pound. Meanwhile, the Cotlook A Index increased by 50 points to 74.50 cents. The Adjusted World Price was updated to 50.02 cents per pound, marking a slight increase of 3 points from the prior week.
In futures trading, cotton prices showed slight movements: March 2026 cotton closed at 64.32 cents (down 3 points), May 2026 at 65.64 cents (up 1 point), and July 2026 at 66.85 cents (up 1 point). As of the latest updates, cotton prices in the front months were up by 17 to 20 points, while ICE certified cotton stocks remained at 11,600 bales.
Additionally, crude oil futures fell by 13 cents to $57.95 per barrel, and the US dollar index rose by $0.188 to 97.920.
