The USDA reported a 4% decline in U.S. cotton condition ratings to 42% good/excellent, with the Brugler500 index declining 4 points to 315. Texas ratings dropped by 2 points and Georgia by 3 points.
In the online auction, 3,727 bales of cotton were sold on Monday at an average price of 61.99 cents/lb. As of August 19, ICE cotton stocks remained unchanged at 12,767 bales, while the Cotlook A Index held steady at 78.60 cents/lb. The USDA Average World Price increased by 11 points to 55.35 cents/lb for the upcoming week.
