As of midday, cotton futures have risen between 10 to 30 points, with March contracts at 63.94 cents, up 11 points, and May contracts at 65.65 cents, up 20 points. Crude oil futures increased by $0.40 per barrel, reaching $62.79. Additionally, the US dollar index improved by $0.284, now at 96.330.
On March 26, an online auction from The Seam reported sales at 56.06 cents per pound for 10,023 bales. The Cotlook A Index decreased by 75 points to 73.30 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks increased by 2 bales, totaling 8,597 bales, while the Adjusted World Price was updated to 50.99 cents per pound, down 18 points from the previous week.
