Cotton futures showed declines on Wednesday, with losses ranging from 2 to 19 points across most contracts. Notably, the July 26 Cotton contract is priced at 71.07, down 19 points, while December 26 and March 27 contracts are at 75.27 (down 3 points) and 76.56 (down 2 points), respectively. In related market activity, crude oil prices rose by $2.76, reaching $90.96 per barrel, while the US dollar index decreased by 0.009 to 99.880.
As of June 9, the Cotlook A Index increased by 40 points to 85.90 cents, but ICE certified cotton stocks fell by 25,818 bales, leaving the total at 231,683 bales. Additionally, the Adjusted World Price dropped by 29 points over the past week to 63.20 cents per pound.
