Cotton Prices Surge Following Wednesday’s Rally

**Cotton Futures Update – October 26, 2023**

Cotton futures closed on October 25, 2023, with prices increasing between 24 to 96 points. The October contract finished at 80.8 cents, up 120 points, while the December and March contracts closed at 81.8 cents and 83.15 cents, marking increases of 93 and 92 points, respectively. The Cotlook A Index remained stable at 90.70 cents.

On July 14, ICE certified cotton stocks decreased by 20,673 bales to 100,612 bales due to decertification, while the Adjusted World Price rose by 92 points to 62.86 cents per pound. Weather forecasts indicate that Central Texas may receive 1 to 3 inches of precipitation over the next week, while areas in the Panhandle and East Texas are expected to see minimal rainfall.
