Cotton futures saw gains of 80 to 90 points on Tuesday, with May 26 Cotton at 69 (up 81 points), July 26 Cotton at 70.9 (up 84 points), and October 26 Cotton at 71.67 (up 206 points). On the same day, crude oil prices rose by $2.17, reaching $95.67, while the US dollar index decreased by $0.118 to 99.345.
On Monday, 17,379 bales of cotton were sold at an average price of 63.71 cents per pound. As of March 16, the Cotlook A Index increased by 70 points to 76.45 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 116,789 bales. The Adjusted World Price rose by 6 points to 51.50 cents per pound.
