Cotton futures are trading higher with gains of 77 to 82 points as of midday. On April 2, the Seam reported 651 bales sold at an average price of 63.37 cents/lb, while the Cotlook A Index increased by 75 points to 81.50 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks have decreased by 1,424 bales, bringing the total to 113,241 bales.
Managed money has reduced their net short position in cotton futures and options by 21,222 contracts in the week ending March 31, leaving them with a net short of 12,226 contracts. The Adjusted World Price saw a rise of 252 points to 56.99 cents/lb, reflecting ongoing fluctuations in the market.
As of the latest figures, May 2026 cotton is priced at 71.74 cents (up 82 points), July 2026 cotton at 73.87 cents (up 82 points), and December 2026 cotton at 75.75 cents (up 77 points).
