On Friday morning, cotton prices saw a slight increase, with futures up by 30 to 99 points in nearby contracts. Crude oil futures rose by $0.60 to $58.55 per barrel, while the US dollar index dropped by $0.069 to $99.520. The markets were closed on Thursday.
During the November 25 online auction from The Seam, 6,457 bales of cotton were sold at an average price of 59.97 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index increased by 25 points to reach 74.35 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks remained steady at 20,344 bales, while the Adjusted World Price fell by 103 points to 50.80 cents per pound last week.
