Cotton prices remained relatively stable on Thursday morning, with futures showing slight increases on Wednesday, rising by 10 to 15 points. The US dollar index fell to 98.775, down by 0.231, while crude oil surged by $1.54 to $76.10, providing external market support.
On March 3, The Seam reported the sale of 6,789 bales of cotton at an average price of 62.49 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index decreased by 95 points to 74.95 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 129,302 bales. The Adjusted World Price increased by 1.79 cents last week to 51.84 cents per pound.
As of March 26, March cotton closed at 62.16 cents per pound, up 12 points; May cotton closed at 64.16 cents, up 12 points; and July cotton closed at 66.1 cents, up 15 points.
