Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (CBRL) is set to report its fiscal fourth-quarter results on September 23, with the Zacks Consensus estimating earnings of approximately $0.20 per share and revenues around $831 million. This marks a projected 4% decline in revenue year-over-year and a comparable-store sales decrease of about 3.4%.
Despite current challenges, recent earnings estimates show improvement, with this year’s Zacks Consensus Estimate rising from a projected loss of 97 cents to a profit of 7 cents over the last 90 days. Next year’s estimate has increased from 67 cents to $1.28, as four analysts adjusted their forecasts upwards.
In its last quarter, Cracker Barrel reported revenue of $797.4 million, with restaurant comps down 2.6%. The company’s adjusted EBITDA reached $40.3 million, prompting management to raise its full-year revenue outlook to between $3.27 billion and $3.30 billion and lift adjusted EBITDA guidance to $120-125 million, an increase from a previous forecast of $85-100 million.
