Project Glasswing, a collaborative initiative launched by Anthropic, aims to utilize its advanced AI model, Mythos, to identify vulnerabilities in critical software systems. Key participants include federal finance officials and CEOs from major corporations such as Amazon, Apple, and JPMorgan Chase. The project was unveiled on April 7, 2026, following the discovery of a significant software flaw that had gone unnoticed for 27 years.
In a related development, Keith Kaplan of TradeSmith highlighted that AI’s ability to analyze complex data could transform stock market trading. A model portfolio created by his team, using AI to uncover hidden signals in market data, achieved a remarkable 12X return with a 73% win rate over five years, even generating a 16.6% gain in 2022 while the S&P 500 dropped nearly 20%.
Kaplan’s AI-powered trading system is designed to simplify the use of historical market signals, offering an average compounded annual return of 54% against a 15% return for the S&P 500 from 2020 to 2026, with a maximum drawdown of only 18.1% compared to 25.4% for the benchmark.
