Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTSH) is set to expand its enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) workforce to 15,000 by the end of 2026, with 5,000 engineers and 10,000 business operators. This initiative aims to transition AI projects from the pilot stage to full production, leveraging partnerships with platforms like Microsoft, Alphabet’s Google Cloud, and NVIDIA.
The program aligns with Cognizant’s broader AI strategy, which has seen over 5,000 client engagements. The first cohort from the Frontier workforce is expected to actively support clients by Q4 2026. For Q2 2026, Cognizant anticipates revenues between $5.45 billion and $5.52 billion, representing a year-over-year increase of 3.8%-5.3%.
Despite these expansions, Cognizant’s shares have declined 47.7% year-to-date, facing challenges such as softer discretionary spending and increased competition throughout the IT services sector.
